Our Mission

Fighting Entropy works to empower autistic adults by facilitating meaningful dog adoptions and ensuring ongoing financial support for the lifelong care of their canine companions.

Ryan Armstrong

As an autistic adult lucky enough to live with two amazing dogs, Ryan knows first-hand how much the right dog can improve an autistic persons life. After a late diagnosis at 36 years old, Ryan decided to focus his energy on helping other autistic adults live better, more enjoyable lives, and founded Fighting Entropy with the help of his girlfriend Devon and her brother Dave. Ryan’s other passions include hiking, taking road-trips, lifting weights, and PC gaming. A life-long resident of New Jersey, Ryan grew up in Merchantville, went to Pennsauken High School, and received a bachelor’s degree from the Rutgers School of Business in Camden.

Ryan is the proud co-owner of Socks with Devon. They recently adopted Troy, Ryan’s grandparent’s dog, and look forward to taking him on his first road-trip as a family.

Devon fostered Socks after he was rescued, but he was too sweet and ended up staying forever. She is now co-owner of Socks and Troy, a golden labradoodle/living teddy bear.
